This is a great subject! I especially love the contrast between the broken chair and the white-washed structures in the background.

However, I would've preferred a different composition -- the figure is positioned too awkwardly in the frame and there isn't much balance. If you were to re-frame this shot you could make a pretty strong statement.

What a powerful image. What is more urban than the decay of our people. Great, original take.

I gave a 3 on relevence as this could swing either way. However, I scored it very high on all the rest. a great image that has a lot to say.

Tudor,
I agree entirely about the composition, so I think you are a particularly perceptive critic. I will upload a different crop to see is that improves it.

Kyla, Oipixs...thank you very much.

It reminds me a lot of american-south rural like you see in films. I can feel the decay more than I can see it. Love the DoF. Good picture.

Tudor, et al,
I deliberately cropped this image in an awkward fashion to see what response I would get, and Tudor immediately put his finger on it.
You'll see that I've reposted the same image as #127, cropping in only from the left.

The man's name is Lewis. He lives a few houses down from the church in a poor black neighborhood close to downtown Dallas and the Texas fairgrounds. This image was created specifically for this theme.
