this is one of my favorite symbols. I saw the statue of this image- "Trail of Tears" - in oklahoma city a few years back and even have a postcard with the picture on it in silhouette. nice composition, i think the background is a little too light and happier for me just because i know what the actual image represents... good shot overall though. :o)

hardycat. we have this painting on a wall in our house, too. and yeah, I totally agree about the setting. I should have taken the statue out to some desolate field, but I thought the green might work.
