That's exactly what I was trying to figure out!! What is the surface? And what is that white thing??
pete said 1029 days ago:
it was another outdoor art piece. a pillar with mirrors all around it.
and this was also in Japan, so the white thing is a drinks vending machine :D

I'll grant you that the photographer is reflected in the shiney things. I like the distortions at the edges of each rectangle. Other than that, I don't think this succeeds.

Its interesting how the varying curve of the mirror segments distort the image a little differently. It almost looks like a series of images which are joined up later, but I believe this to be a straight on in camera composition.

Nice photo, how did you do this? Cool how straight and cropped. Nice picture!

Very interesting framing but the composition makes me consider the architecture responsible for the reflection rather than your portrait... intentional, no doubt, but for me, less effective than some of the other images. My favourite aspect of the image is the way that each cell looks slightly different.

Very interesting surface, I really enjoy the precision with which you've arranged lines in the frame. The complex pattern and reflection really hold the viewer's (my) attention.

Well, I will say that you had me looking at this for a long time...I guess that means it works at some levels. I'm not sure how much I like it, but it is definitely interesting to look at!!
