Beautifull shot and moment! I am only thinking: how would the picture be if the horizon was not in the middle...

ruiter said 960 days ago:

Very surrealistic. The details in the corner left, down are distracting a bit.

Anna said 960 days ago:

I would crop of the part of the bottom with the reeds.

Wings, what is this?

sandman said 960 days ago:

Love the color. High marks!

MaximusM3 said 960 days ago:

Nice image but another one that doesn't follow the theme's rules and doesn't brake them to deliver something different. Sorry!

Beamer said 960 days ago:

Great tones, very lovely scene, technically strong, The composition feels very centerd, I might have framed this a bit more sky heavy. The bits of grass at the very bottom are a mistake imo. And it's straight mirror reflection that the brief talked about avoiding this week!

Beamer said 960 days ago:

Some of this might be under water now I think...Mono Lake in the upper Owens Valley in California. They have been restoring more water back into the lake after robbing nearly all of it to water lawns in LA last century!!

Interesting and attractive. I would crop the bottom quarter of this to remove the grass in the lower left and to move the horizon off the center.

Looks an amazing place. Colours look over tweaked?

Beamer said 960 days ago:

Ever hear of Velvia??

wings said 960 days ago:

@beamer. The digi heads know nothing. NOr do they know time of day. I like to think of these people relitives to the people that told Columbus the earth is flat. :))))

Hey Maximus You can always email me from down under

JeffBiset said 960 days ago:

I guess there wll be arguments about the color treatment . I would have cropped or cloned a bit to remove the litle things in the lower left.

LOL @ Beamer. these photographers are like a moth to bug zapper. 1 If you crop off the little bit to the left then the image looks like a dime a dozen generic images. I'd hate to think where most people are when the light get wonderful. In bed or in the shower, or closet figuring out what to wear for dinner or breakfast. Light gets interesting about then. Sorry to think its in their rear view mirror and not passing to the sensor of a few more cameras. Most photographers don't know their generic digitals are all set to 5000K while film is 5400K :)). Hey I know it's just numbers but it means alot. It isn't in the camera manual. Has any one that made a similar comment on my image read a book on color temp? Has any one shot with Velvia iso people, rated at 40? Dare to be brilliant and suffer. :))) I'll take brilliant thank you. One thing for sure. With me around your brain cells will grow or your hemarage. :))) cheers people.

Wings, my friend, I am a film guy..I'm shooting my last 30 rolls of Kodachrome 25 now and eat Tri-X for breakfast :) I can't stand 99.9% of digi-crap out there and I knew this wasn't one of them. I hope you didn't take my comment the wrong way because It's a VERY fine image.

MaximusM3 said 960 days ago:

..and didn't quite get the "email me from down under", by the way :)
