At first I didn't see "portrait" here, but the more I look at it the more I see these peoples lives. A nice take here, on the theme and of the subjects.

Very impressive capture. I like the tonal qualities as well. If the photographer would be willing to do so, I would enjoy hearing the back story about how he/she knows the couple or how he/she arranged the photograph.

another compelling portrait. i'm curious why neither of your outstanding entries were featured on this theme. perhaps they are too "journalistic" to fit "portrait" in the mind of the viewer? wish i had rated this one. would be interesting to hear from people who did rate it, what their thoughts were.
