i think this one fell down most with the relevancy here. there is a slight contradiction here but not quite 'opposites'.. granted this is a tricky theme.

Good point, although I thought that 'open' and 'closed' were fairly good opposites. I agree though that the way they are presented here is much more contradictory in nature.

This is fun. I like the idea.

I feel like the lighting is a little "blah" though. Looks like it was a somewhat cloudy day... Maybe if you waited for some direct sunlight this would pop more.

Thanks Brandon. I think I could have processed this one to get a 'brighter' feel from it. Sometimes I do prefer these low contrast lighting situations for run-down street scenes but I can see how they lack the 'pop' factor!

I don't like the crop at all - and the picture only works in this category if there was some sign that it was taken on a Sunday.
