great composition and I really love the idea around this one!
front half, back half! great!

Flat lighting, lack of impact, and a tilt to the image ruin this for me. With better lighting, this might be a neat shot.

The tilt was my dilemma. The pole is perfectly vertical as is the dock between the boats but the dock in the foreground is slightly tilted, I was not careful enough when I took the shot - but this was how it came out of the camera. As for the rest that is your opinion and you are welcomed to it. :-)

Interesting how the boats seem to be paired in a very unusual way. Great take on the theme and I like your composition.

Wonderful! The inclusion of both halves of the boats but on either side of the pier is perfect for this theme. Just perfect.

I think I see where you are going with this concept and I like it because it's different. I love how the subject literally divides the photograph in half right down the middle and the boats....I got a good chuckle out of those....the stern's on the left and the bow's on the right....very clever image. I like it.

High marks, like this. Back halves, front halves, right down the middle. Works for me. Composition is nice.

I see a few ways that this is half. The frame is cut in half, and some of the sailboats are in half, or at least very nearly half. Most excellent and unique take on the theme.

Sure is symetrical!Everything is so in place.
Looks like you would have to wear a coat and tie
to get in,and no spontaneous fun is allowed.
The woodgrain and the sparkly water is nice though.
