A wonderful place to stroll! You must have a lot of great images from along this path.

The coloring looks a bit too unnatural to me but not enough that way to be clearly meant as artistic expression. The image also seems very soft... perhaps not enough depth of field at that focal length to cover everything well. I wonder how it would have come out with the lens wide open, focused on the foreground?

Starting to ramble... so will stop. :)

Interesting trees. They are different on the different sides of the path.

I don't really follow the criticsm of the colours. They seem fine on my screen. What is unnatural about them?

As for the DoF this was wide open. I can only conclude that it is the lens quality which is the 75mm-300mm. This was shot using a tripod and remote to trip the shutter. I haven't the EXIF to hand but the fstop was high. Even were the DoF shallow I still feel this would have been a pleasing image.

What a beautiful trail. I love this shot. Kind of reminds me of a Kincaid painting. 5's.

Mooch, first let me clarify what I meant about the DoF. Your shot was taken at f/13... that's quite a bit stopped down from wide open but, at 120mm, there may still not be enough DoF to cover the entire scene... it depends on where you focused, of course. If you shot wide open at f/4 (or whatever your lens allows) with shallow DoF, focused on the foreground, the background would be much more blurred... a purposeful blur. (Just a thought)

I take back what I said about the colors. The reason I said something was that the greens in the foreground looked unnatural... but after looking at many other pictures with green foliage around, I think the more-red-than-brown trail threw my perceptions.

Anyway, I DO like the picture! :)

Nothing unnatural about the colors to me. Looks like beautiful new spring green.
