How many sunsets have you seen with lightning striking at the same time? While I agree it could be a typical sunset over any lake but in fact it's not, it's a sunset over a lake with heat type lightning striking as the shutter was opened and happened in my neighborhood. ;)

I think a little less sea and a little more of that wonderful burning sky would improve the composition. Nevertheless a beautiful shot!

Your right, I didn't notice the heat lightning in the image--sorry. That makes the image more unique, but I'm still not sure it reveals much about your neighborhood.
Thank-you for correcting me though on the uniqueness of the sunset image itself. I've got to pay more attention to the light!

I think this theme should have human impact. A neighborhood is a community of people and human-influenced surroundings. This shot just doesn't quite meet the criteria in my mind. On the other hand, gorgeous photo!

After reading the comments, I still think this is great. Some of you live in neighborhoods with slums and graffitti, some of you live in lush green countryside, some live in suburbia. Looks like pretorious lives in this glorious setting. Good for him.

I really don't like the photoshoping here. The gradient does nothing for me. I like the effect on the clouds on the left side, but the right side is way too dark.

A pretty typical sunset image. To be honest I don't think it says much about your neighborhood--could be almost any sunset over any lake.
