@helmaBlizzard, Thanks for enjoying my Navajowoman. 2 light sources, a barbuld which is not made anymore and god's morning sun. Windy and dusty red fine dirt clay. Shot on Fugi rated at 40. Without the fill flash rated two stops belows below the image would not make publication. It has a nice pop. A bit more than most understand. Simply beacyse its when most are waking up and for publication, She would be tending her sheep but the Hop police had been on her side of the gate killing her sheep. That's valuable food to sustain life on way out in the nowhere of Arizona. I came across her while working on another story on Black Lungs for which I won a grant for. I lived on the land and being Black myself looked Red from the red dirt. Often the digital cameras failed when the fine red clay seeps in. However the film cameras worked. Afer all a film camera is constructed like a tank. A digital camera isn't. After some time I got to know her. She was 76. Her mother was 104 her brother 86 and retarded would help her mother saddle up and with dogs herd sheep. This woman was part of the Minigoat klan. Anyway the image is taking a beating but I don't care. I love it.
I'm enjoying everyone's work. Best to you and to all. 3:36 am fell asleep working on my last project at the table. geee.
