Ohhhh...what a story his dazed young face does tell...but his environment says more than he should ever know.

Wow! Amazing capture. 25. Makes me realise that my day wasn't so bad after all.

Outstanding...the environment, and the boys expression really makes this one stand out.

Interesting angle an perspective - I think that this would be far more interesting in colour though.

I stared at this photo for along time .. hearing the story it has to tell .. precious young child, so well photographed .. thank you for sharing this slice of his life.

I hope you don't mind but I posted it to my facebook page. If you do please let me know and I will remove it.

I wish I had a way to edit what I write in my comments .. I should have said I posted a link to your photo, not the photo itself.

Dear Anne G. The wall was gray the ground grad his shoes dirty dust whit and the tips red. the garbage on the ground covered in gray ash. The coffee pot silver which was black in it's hay day. The iron thing black his skin brown and dirty ashy gray and a dusty cap which was dirty light brown and the rest he wore was gray and oversized black jeans. His eyes dark brown. Hmmm not much color. The sky was even gray... I know its hard to imagine a world of very little color. BUt here unlike your grass shot. The beauty is in the bland gray. :))) HOw ever photoshop can colorize it if you like :) your friend.

It's OK MaggleMac. BUt do me a factor always ask me first. I'm a private photographer. If you want a gallery curator to see my people let me know. Cheers mate and by the way. Sometimes I can be found on 395 then 120, then 5 to Shasta and Ashland. I should be in Utah after I see Bob. He's got some wine to drink. All the way from California.

I am sorry if I overstepped the boundaries .. it so moved me that I wanted others I care about to see it too.. I will ask in the future .. sorry about that.

@Maggie and wings - I'm confused. There is a "Facebook Share" button at the bottom of every image on WS. I think we all understand than any member of WS may click on that button for any photo that they particularly like and want to share on their FB page.
Is that all you did Maggie?
Regardless, wings has accepted your apology but.... I don't think an apology was necessary if you only clicked on the button below. If a photographer doesn't want the FB button at the bottom of his/her photos, he/she should take it up with Brandon and see if the link can be removed. But seriously, when shared with the below link, there is no "attribution" problem.
Am I missing something here...?

A moving image made all the more so by the richness of tone. Wonderful.

ibimagine - that is all I did .. I used the FB share button - but I did want to tell the photographer - wings - what I did in case he didn't want the exposure. I agree that the button makes it seem like it's the right thing to do and maybe even an encouragement to have the site grow - still I am glad that wings cleared up how he felt re. his photos being shared. I will use more caution in the future. :)

Maggie - You didn't actually "share" the photo then.
wings - Maggie didn't "share" your photo.
Maggie, I want to give you a hug. You are so sensitive over this thing. wings, I don't want to make any assumptions, but I think you might not be a Facebook user and might not understand what the "f share" button does and, more importantly, *doesn't* do.
When one clicks the "f share" button below, the only thing that shows up on FB is a very small thumbnail with a link back to WS. So if someone want to see what a photographer posted in a theme (to the entire world via the internet), then they have to follow the link back to WS.
*That* is a far cry from actually downloading someone's photo and then uploading and sharing it on another website. Which is why I say, Maggie, that you didn't share the photo in any traditional sense.
I have zero problem clicking on the share button of any photo on WS to "share the link" on Facebook without asking the photographer (in fact I'm thinking about sharing wing's photo right now without asking, lol). The photographer did upload it for the entire online world for heaven's sake. WS might be a member's only site, but photos are available to view by everyone with a computer and an internet connection.
All you actually shared, Maggie, was a link back to wing's photo. How very kind of you and a nice thing you did for wings - maybe a gallery curator friend of your will now take notice and wings will be famous. If you lived nearby your morning coffee or tea would be on me. ;-)
Cheers!
