As a parent (although my kids are grown) this image has great appeal. If this is your child, be sure not to lose this photo. Nice shot. High marks.

....and, no this is not my child.
I happened to be the "mom with the camera" at my son's old preschool. I did a lot of documentation photos for two years, for both the school and the parents. This is just one of many shots.

I really like this - lots of life, not just a snapshot. The colour is nice and rich despite being monochrome.

A nice feeling. I recall wonderful moments like this when my girls were that age. There's a lot going on here. I wish it were pulled in more to enjoy the girl's expression and get more detail on the beetle. The light's a bit flat, too, but high marks cause I like those memories!

There were a whole group of kids in the way so I couldn't get closer, and I only shoot with a 50mm lens.
.....but fuck it. It's capturing the moment that is most important to me, not making it perfect.

@Thelma...surely you are bigger than those kids...muscle them gently out of the way. Tickle one or two on the way through. They'll dig it.

Physically, yes, I am bigger than those kids.
Unfortunately, one small disturbance would have cause ripple effect of choas, and the whole shot would have been lost.

Besides...this is their moment, not mine. :)
