Fantastic, what is it?

JIMJIM said 994 days ago:

Thank you Kettelarij !
It's a riddle and I can give you an indication : was shot in Mexico :)

all 5's.

The framing lets this down for me. Maybe a frame that mimics the rectangles in the pattern and cropping off the bottom rungs could be stronger?

If I'm supposed to be looking at the cage, its getting lost in the patterns. I'm thinking in this case, monochrome might not have been the best alternative since the patterns are so strong.

A bit strange. What is that tree doing there? The image does make you look at it long and hard.

Garrybyles said 994 days ago:

I like the composition but there's just a little too much lost detail at the top

King said 994 days ago:

Strange and interesting, but not powerful, in my opinion. Seems to be begging for RGB.

Lange said 994 days ago:

Very pretty. It looks old-fashioned in terms of processing... to me akin to an old glass plate image from the 1800s.

Beamer said 994 days ago:

This is the kind of image where the sepia toning doesn't really add much for me. My mind seems to want to see this either with natural color or in b&w. Nice graphic subject and well composed shot.
