Beautiful capture. COuld be wider to really bring it into a 'moment' context, but very well done

You're so vein?
Sorry, but somebody had to say it.

It's hard to tell the context of the image, being zoomed in so close. On the other hand, it's easy to imagine.

Great shot!! Love the grit and textured feel of this.

very nice composition, a bit dark and the detail is lost in the shadows. Great quality shot.

great moment, i am guessing after a race due to the pumped up veins, love the b&w and the deep blacks

Oh Zorilla, you are way too funny.
This was posted intentionally as a detail of a moment that is completely telling in itself. Context is relative, does one really need to see the racetrack in order to know that this is a racehorse and jockey. It is but one moment in a series of moments that define this persons life... but I digress.
Today is the artists reception for Mark Kitaoka's (Pursang) one man photography show called funnily enough "Moments of Humanity", a series of one moments. :-)))

Terrific image Tracy. Very well done. Is the horse somewhat less sharp than the jockey's hand and leg? Or is it just my eyes? Square format works really well. Congrats :-)
TracyMartin said 2017 days ago:
Thanks George, it is not your eyes, I really need to shut down my aperture a bit sometimes. :-)

@mtmartini I see what youre saying, but all photographs are captured moments, from a series... The reason I thought it should have been wider, was to allow the shot to tell the tale, joy/sorrow on the jockeys face, exhaustion of the horse, just something more. Cropped tight, I have to make the story up myself

great shot tray and back to back features. you superstar!
TracyMartin said 2016 days ago:
@stolenlife - sometimes I am not very good at making a clear point, not even to myself, but the making the story up yourself was the point I was trying to get at regarding a 1000 words. :-)
Thanks to everyone for your comments and the features. Cheers.

Beautiful shot, I love the framing, the slightly underexposed shadows, the details of the hand...
