The mesh is a little too evident, and I feel it detracts too much from the main subject. This a shame because I like the overall colours and the superb detail in the feathers, beak and eye of the bird.

I like the mesh, since the subject is "cage bird" and not just "bird"... and there has to be something through which to look :)

Great relevance, but there's almost too much cage. I feel like I'm missing too much bird. Your focus was spot on though and I really admire that big orange eye.

Thank you for the comments. This guy is enjoying his days in the local green house, and the cage is rather large, but mostly made of plexiglass. The sides have this mesh area, and I can talk to him and he likes to say "pretty bird" and "hello" to me. He also gets really close like this and talks. It's great, but he's VERY fast, and doesn't stay still for long! The best shots of the bird were the ones in which the cage was out of focus. Thanks again.
