I recently talked with Vernon Trent about this week's theme and I liked what he had to say:

"The kitchen is not only forks and spoons. In some countries a family's whole life is headquartered in the kitchen. It's a place where people cook, create, or maybe even have sex. In Romania the living room was just for the TV and guests, but everything else was in the kitchen.

So, we can look further than just sponges or things hanging on the wall... or just a person near a stove."
