Very nice. The framing/cropping feels a little tight at the top.

It is cropped a bit tight at the top but that was because of all the barns in the background. :-)

Interesting shot. The horses seem intent on eating and could care less about someone with a camera. The B&W is an odd choice, IMHO.

I like the feeling this gives me.
The black and white makes it look cold and windy out there. What are those curious,matching, white spots on the first two horses' necks?

These are Standardbred weanlings and those are brand marks used for identifying them along with DNA samples that were taken, as they grow up their manes mostly cover up the marks. Thoroughbreds are all tattooed on their upper lip, which the Standardbred industry used to do but gave it up in favor of freeze branding, they are somewhat unsightly though but I never think of cloning them out.

Thanks Ana. I went out shooting them all again this morning at 7am and they are such pains because they are usually all over me, so it still surprises me that I was able to escape them long enough to capture this. :-)))
