Definitely makes a strong impression. To me it is "moody", if that makes sense. Very creative.

I was flipping through my archives last night and couldn't find a good "hand" photo that I liked, so I decided to put the flash on the camera and play around in the shower for a bit.

This is a 50mm prime lens wide open at 1.4, flash pointed at the ceiling, and shutter speed at 1/500. The open lens gave it that blur and the shutter speed stopped the motion of the water.

Also, did some darkening in Photoshop, because I just like that creepy mood thing. :)

Ha ha - in the shower. Nice. Thanks for sharing your technique. But if you ever find yourself accepting an award for it, make up something about a dark forest and a big thunderstorm ;)

Yeah, I focused on the fingers in the first few shots I took, but that didn't highlight the drops very well... so I backed the focus off a bit and I think that made it feel more like the drops were falling into the hand.

Definitely one of my all time faves. There is a skill (as noted above) to this that the image reflects. I like the Silent Hill finish to this. One day, my shots will be this good. One, day.
