There are many elements that prevent this image from standing on its own. First and foremost, had the image not been submitted for a theme of four, what are you attempting to say with the image? What is the focal point? What have you done to this image to make it your own other than photographing another person's creation?
The composition is very unbalanced and the depth of field you chose to use really detracts from the primary parts of this image. The trees in the background are as prominent as the statues in the foreground. The angle you have taken with this image exaggerates the uneven spacing between the statues which also takes away from any impact you may have hoped to get from the angle of composition.

Although the subject matter is relevant, I don't think the cropping or the angle works at all. The cropping is too tight on both sides. I think a different composition would've had more impact.

aw dangit Pete :)
if it's any consolation, I think your previous submission of fence is really great and I'm not saying that just to be nice.

hehe, thanks flipthom... looking through my photos, this was just the only thing i could find that had any relevance to 4.
@pursang as well, this was a holiday photo, in Krakow, i was just trying to find a more interesting angle to photograph the statues than front on, and it wasnt shot with 4 in mind. it hasnt been cropped smaller, this is how it was shot.
thanks for both your comments, i agree with them!!

Pete, I understand. Keep in mind that when you submit something for a theme, try to find imagery in your archives that are of compelling quality in addition to relevant. If your goal is to get Featured, then perhaps you need to reassess why you're here. Throwing whatever seems to fit up really doesn't make you a better photographer and my comments are only to offer my view of what would make the photograph better for me, the viewer which is only one person's opinion.
Take your time and be ultra critical of your own pieces. You'll grow beyond what you believe is possible.

This feels like it was forced to fit the theme. It's well executed for the most part, but the composition needed to get all four statues in hurts the image overall IMHO.

This is certainly 'four' statues. I wish I could see more of them, and more of the area. I do like the "from below" composition.

I like the diagonal composition of the shot, but due to the lighting and the background, the statues just don't really stand out enough.

Great POV and good work with shadows and highlights.
