Wow, really moody/emotional image. Great lighting and great composition. Top marks.

I like this. It's a little different from anything else submitted for this theme.

Welcome back King!

Flatline said 2176 days ago:

Wow, this is beautiful King...

King said 2176 days ago:

Thanks for the welcome back, folks. I'm still a bit too busy for W.S., but Mark Kitaoka (pursang) told me to post any image or suffer the consequences. Since that guy scares the pee out of me, I posted this.

Good guess, Tanja!

Thanks for all the compliments, especially the praise from Flatline, who invited me to join W.S. almost 10 months ago.

I really like the protective pose,
a safe refuge from the world.

This is a gorgeous photograph, King...it's sweet and sexy :)

Thanks, Carl,

Note that both of these people are modestly dressed. The man has only his shirt off and the girl is wearing a strapless top. They are friends of mine...dancers with the Boston Ballet Company. This photo was taken around 1975.

The man has a sleepy eye (the right) that just doesn't open as wide as the other. The girl has a strongly cleft chin (think Kirk Douglas) that I wanted to soften, so asked her to place her hand where it is. However, she had the habit of biting her fingernails, so I just had her curl her fingers under. The combination created an unexpected effect.
