I like this. . . cropping out some of the left side would have improved this. . . at least in my minds eye.

I've always loved this shot. The band of darkness across his/her eyes is counter intuitive to me, but it allows the impact of the catch light in the animal's eyes to draw me in. Well done, top marks.

It may be my monitor, but I wish the light was a little different on this because it makes me want to focus on the horse's nose?, and his eye.

I'm somewhat on the fence about this one. I really like the different take on the theme, but I think the shadow is a bit distracting. On the other hand without it, it might just be the horses face with no outstanding features.

CaptureThis, that is the kind thinking I was going for by posting this image, I have lots of straight eye shots of horses but this one has a little something extra, as it is the shadow across the face that makes the eye stand out. :-)
