nice shot! I think I know who make this shot.

mumbler said 968 days ago:

Do you feel like everyone is staring at you? Excellent!

RichardFord said 968 days ago:

Not really. I shot as I got off the train. I had a 20mm on my F80. As I got off, a guy walked past me with a big bag of little oranges that he was cradling like his grandparents ashes.

Without too much thought, I just swung around on one foot and fired at the oranges, just as the door shut.

Fair bit of luck involved. But then again - you have to make your own luck in this world.

as crowded than in paris , very good shot , we can feel the mood people waiting to go home after a work journey

:)

mumbler said 968 days ago:

Highly tuned situational awareness and sophisticated reflexes to take advantage of 'luck' I guess for street shooting?

RichardFord said 968 days ago:

@ and anticipation...

MaximusM3 said 966 days ago:

I don't know what you did to get eye contact from everyone but it worked :)

RichardFord said 966 days ago:

@ Max

Luck.

MaximusM3 said 966 days ago:

Beamer said 966 days ago:

A Hat Trick!! Congrats!!

Wonderful moment

MaximusM3 said 966 days ago:

3x3...you owned this theme, baby!!

RichardFord said 965 days ago:

@ Max

A big lumbering idiot foreigner pirouetting with a camera.... I'd have looked as well!

King said 965 days ago:

Whereas I would have had my assistant contact all these people individually, arrange for them to meet me on the subway and pay them to look with great intensity into the camera while I said, "One more, please!"

Yet this moment is so much better than something planned in advance.

Congratulations, Richard.

@ King

You'd need to hire actors and not models.....

King said 964 days ago:

@Richard...actors, of course. I have an acting background and am a senior member of Actor's Equity (retired), so that's right up my alley.

I could probably never match this image, although I'd try to get Vincent D'Onofrio as the guy with the bag of oranges, Clive Owen for the tough guy up front, Zhang Zi-Yi as the woman on the right (after ageing her a bit), and I'd try to find spots for Meryl Streep and Emma Thompson--but even then...

RichardFord said 963 days ago:

I think Ed Harris would have to be there too.

Ana said 963 days ago:

I wrote a story with Ed Harris in it once.
Loved him in Knightriders.
Rawr.

RichardFord said 963 days ago:

Gotta be him from Glengarry Glen Ross! In a story all about being a man and men of men. He was the most man of them all. Pacino a close second....

mgremm said 947 days ago:

Rather like this one!

kmaze said 896 days ago:

Love the geometry and the intensity of the looks into the lens.
