Crazy scene!!! LOVE IT!!! maybe a bit thin, the glow seems to diffuse the central part of the image quite a bit.

It is Friday morning, a beautiful day outside, feeling sad because I would love to be anywhere but at work....
Then I saw this. Funny, funny stuff. Whoever this is, you have made me laugh so much I have spilled my coffee all over the clients files! Outstanding.

Hehe! I consider this my homage to your photograph, Beamer... I tried to replicate it with the materials I had.

Actually, with my work schedule really hectic this week (I have to present some research at a conference.), I knew that after today, it would be quite unlikely that I would get a chance to even look at my camera. What you see is how I was inspired to try to show a similar "action" seen from a film (see Beamer's beautiful image that has been featured).

I was hoping for a funny rendition of it. But I only had about 15 minutes total to work to get the picture. I ran to my two kid's room, grabbed various of their toys (a police car, a fire truck, a male action figure (Woody) and a female action figure (some fairy princess), a big truck of my son's and then decided to add "drama" with his big Transformer Monster. The fire is an old cardboard cut-out campfire we used in a cowboy themed party last year.

I gathered all those things and then using a piece of plywood on an outdoor table, constructed the scene (throwing in rocks). Unfortunately.... the "glow" in the center is a result of the weather... my equipment was in the air conditioned house and we had just gone through a major thunderstorm (close to 100% humidity) and it was near 90 degrees outside. The glow was my clear glass filter starting to fog up from the humidity.

So, even though it is not perfect, I am pleased generally in making something that made me smile and I do think is a reasonably funny version of Beamer's serious and dramatic cinematic effort.

I like the concept. Seems a bit hazy to me

Lange, I am honored and you did a GREAT job with the time you had!!

Incorrect. The way I see it is that the glow in the center is the result of that raging fire! I'm still laughing at it.

this is great, can't wait to hear if you did this just for WS, or what the story is!

LOL.

Anything with Woody is a hit in my books. Looking forward to seeing this at the cinema.

Hmmm. I guess. An animated disaster movie.

Now that's funny.

Very creative work! :D

The glow in the middle... is that added? A better image without it IMHO. Nice setup and a clever idea for the theme as well!

I love that you've copied Beamer's excellent shot. Very funny.
