In interesting response to the theme: two people alone in the landscape. Alone, it appears, does not mean solitary. However, given the phrase "x people alone in the world", what value can x take before the phrase becomes ridiculous?

I suppose collectively the couple is alone on this beach, but they are together, which is kind of the antithesis of alone. One person would have been infinitely more effective for this week.

I've shot this same image and have a hard time deciding between vertical or horizontal orientation. In this case I think landscape orientation showing a vast amount of empty beach and water in front of them would help me know they are truly alone.

It's a nice image, just doesn't give me that "wow" feeling.
